Conflict detection
Two aircraft heading towards each other. Decide within seconds whether they will get too close.
- Both aircraft fly straight ahead at a constant speed. The label shows level and speed.
- Conflict means that at some point they come closer than 5 NM laterally and are at the same level.
- Different levels (at least 1,000 ft apart) are never a conflict, however close they pass.
- The scale bar shows 10 NM. The line ahead of each aircraft shows where it will be in 2 minutes.
- 20 scenarios, 7 seconds per scenario. Press C for conflict and N for no conflict.
