English and phraseology

Radio English: remember clearances, spot errors in readbacks and know the standard phrases.

Time: 4 min · free · in the style of the FEAST I English section (ELICIT, listening comprehension) and ICAO phraseology

  • Listen: a radio message is shown for four seconds (with Voice on, it is also read aloud). Then it is hidden and you answer from memory.
  • Readback: compare the controller's instruction with the pilot's readback. Do the level and frequency match?
  • Phrases: what do the standard phrases, such as WILCO and STANDBY, mean?
  • 15 questions. Answer with the mouse or the keys 1–4.
